Jurong Bird Park 裕廊飞禽公园 (Singapore)

My first Bird Photography outing on 5th February 2014.

I do not know the names of some birds shown and you may help me identify them (and correct me if I have gotten the names wrong) with comments below. Thank you.

Jurong Bird Park is a 20.2 hectare open concept park, opened on 3rd January 1971. It is Asia Pacific’s largest bird park and home to more than 8000 birds of 600 species from around the world.

Predators on the prowl above are the White-tailed Sea Eagle, the Hooded Vulture and the Bald Eagle. There’s also a parade of nocturnal birds like the Malay Fish Owl, the Eurasian Eagle Owl and the popular Snowy Owl.

Mandarin Duck. The Mandarin Ducks are considered to be the most beautiful ducks in the world. The male is pristine-looking and striking. It has a red bill, white and reddish face, "whiskers", a purple breast, and during the breeding season, has distinct orange "sail" feathers at the back. Originated in East Asia, Mandarin Ducks are held in special regard by the Chinese and Japanese as a symbol of marital bliss and conjugal fidelity because they tend to stay together year after year, unlike most other species of ducks.
