What I Did With Leftovers

My mom gave me some Koka plain instant noodles without seasoning during CNY and I had not cooked them. Last Saturday, I had crab feast with my children at Ju Feng Garden Kitchen and we had some chilli crab gravy left. So I dabao (packed) home the gravy. Found a claw and one shell with negligible roe. Made this dish on Sunday night for supper.

I heated up the left over gravy and pour over the boiled noodles without additional seasoning.

It was delicious! There was some more gravy so I poured all of it into the bowl.

Verdict: The Chilli Crab Gravy from Ju Feng Garden Kitchen wasn’t overly sweet so it made a good savoury sauce for my instant noodles. Perhaps, I will buy crabs again from them since they are on promotion and make a big pot of Crab Noodles, this time with fresh egg noodles and some vegetables like shredded carrots, cabbage, mustard green or bok choy.

Hmmm… Some sliced fresh shitake should work, too. I can taste it in my mouth already!

Happy experimenting 🙂

P.S. This may be an interesting post for Tony’s Instant Noodles discussion page.
