Water sports like sailing and kayaking (free) are available on Coconut Island. The kids originally wanted to do some kayaking but in the end settled for swimming.

All the locals dishes did not do as well as we’d thought. The calamari (not native to Thai) surprisingly passed the taste test with flying colours. According to Vanessa, the calamari tasted superior. Crispy, flavoursome with moist succulent morsels coupled with a side of rich creamy dipping sauce on a bed of rockets. The aioli was superb and we wondered if it was made from scratch by the chef. Well done! Perhaps hungry people cannot distinguish what’s delicate and delectable but the overall meal experience did not fail utterly. Holiday makers are happy people and are more forgiving!

I wasn't referring to sunshades.

The children had a wonderful time on the beach. They played some table tennis (ping pong), waded in the pool, swam in the sea and came back many shades redder and darker than when we first arrived.

This was where we took buggy rides to and fro the villa and reception area.

The sun was setting fast on the last night of our stay but first, we have an appointment with some lady boys after dinner!

Isn't this beautiful?

  1. Hi Samantha, these photos are great. I especially like the sunset in the 2nd-last one 🙂
