Have No Fear – Foodpanda Is Here!

As I was saying, I was going to reward my children with real food. I know they loved North Indian Cuisine. I know they missed Melbourne’s Red Pepper Restaurant and I am going to score some points with them this night! 😉

So I let my fingers to the walking and did some “tapau-ing” (take-outs) without getting off my couch. My Groupon purchase was successful and so I logged into Foodpanda’s portal, and followed the 4 simple steps.

I'll need to key in the voucher code later in the comment section.

Once you logged into Foodpanda’s portal, a cute panda pop-up will ask if you want to receive exclusive discounted deals from restaurants. The restaurants are good food establishments so I signed up of course!

There is also a recommendation of their top restaurants. I have order Spizza before although not through Foodpanda. Now, after testing the first run of ordering take-outs online, I can buy more Groupons and save some money on pizzas!

Depending on the time you place your order, some restaurants may be closed for the day. This was after midnight when I logged on. The good part about Foodpanda is you can order from several restaurants simultaneously in this same portal. If your chosen restaurant(s) are closed for the day, they will tip you on which is available, if any. This feature saves me a lot of time googling and calling the restaurant one by one to find out.

There was only one restaurant operating that serves my area after midnight.

You can put any instruction in the comment box like the voucher code, delivery time and address if it is different from the registered one. Below where the red arrow indicated, you can also indicate you will need change if you do not have the exact amount for cash on delivery payment mode (I seldom have cash on me and so I paid online which is great).

Ryan was very happy with his meal. My children all agreed that this meal brought them back to Melbourne’s Red Pepper days. The star rating of the restaurants had given me some clue as to which are the popular restaurants on the same cuisine. We have always wanted to try Indian Curry House but never got round to it because of the journey but now with their “friendly” delivery hours (because it suits our timing), I am confident we will be ordering food from them again through Foodpanda.

Want to try Foodpanda with a S$10 discount? You can use the following code “pandalivinginSG” with these terms: minimum order of S$10 with online payments only. This is valid for new customers only and is valid for the period of one year starting 16th January 2014. You need to sign up for the first time for this to work.

Or like me, you can buy a S$5 Groupon voucher and get S$15 value in food and you don’t have to be a first-timer (it’s more than 10% discount on my bill) but hurry before the promo is gone! Please extend the Groupon deal by popular demand!

Happy ordering 🙂

P.S. The food was so good, I’m going to do a separate post on it tomorrow (instead of here). Keep a lookout!
