Strudel The Look-Alikes

Let’s take a break from Chinese seafood. I wonder if your eyes were overloaded with them as much as my tummy was. I had several same type of seafood cuisine before going to Macau so let’s fast forward to something else I ate after the trip. I will post those dinners at a later date when the crustaceans in my guts are digested 😉

Vanessa, my younger daughter, did a makeover session and photography shoot for Ryan’s Korean language school. The theme was Korean (of course) celebrity look-alike. Since they didn’t advertise for look-alikes, they decided to use my elder daughter, Valerie and Sam Poh, you remember him right?

The photographs are courtesy of Sejong Korean Language School Singapore and photography credit goes to Vanessa Caitlin-Photographer.

Here’s the look-alike of Park Jae-sang, better known by his stage name Psy (stylized PSY and pronounced as Sai), who is a South Korean singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer, record producer and television personality. Park Jae-sang born in the Gangnam district became internationally famous with 1,744,493,801 (as of posting date) hits on Youtube with the song Gangnam Style.

Here’s the look-alike of South Korean actress, Song Hye-kyo who gained popularity through television dramas such as Autumn in My Heart, All In, and Full House.

Do you think they did a good job with this project? I thought so (moms are biased) and went out to get two strudels to celebrate 😀

I was slightly put off by the strong whiff of durian smell when I entered the shop. So you know I'm not a fan of durian. I do eat them but I do not like recycled scent.

There are 6 flavours of strudels, apple, mango, peach, blueberry, durian and strawberry. Apart from the strudels, Ritz Apple Strudel also offers a selection of pastries and cakes such as cheesecake, brownie, clairs, mini puffs and many more as seen in the photo above.

The Music Video Gangnam Style. (Oppa means elder brother but only for the female to address an older male. A man would call another older man Hyung not Oppa).

They have branched out to 8 locations.

Before the year 2000, we used to have Renaldo’s Apple Strudel & Pastries from Australia whenever someone traveled Down Under and I especially loved their cream horns. The Ritz sprouted up and has so many locations, it became a household name when it comes to apple strudel. Different flavours were developed as their business expanded and local fruit like durian was also introduced. I hope they do not venture into jackfruit. Vanessa and I still favour the good old granny smiths while Valerie likes their strawberry strudels.

Happy celebrating 🙂

The look alike is stunning! And I love mango but try it when it is just starting to turn yellow when it is firm and not mushy, some varieties are more delicious than others 🙂
