Phantom Of The Waffle
Still in the quest of finding and experimenting new waffle flavours.
The waffle premix manufacturer gave us a few choices but we chose to make the one with egg and milk. The trick for this recipe is to put the medium sized egg in the measuring cup first then top up with milk until the 110ml mark. We also added on our own 1 sachet of 30g 3-in-1 Milo, 1 tablespoon of melted butter and a pinch of salt. Dried fruits are optional but we had these juicy cranberries that complemented the chocolaty waffle.
Recipe (makes 2):
100g Waffle Mix.
1 Egg (medium size).
Milk (Put egg into a measuring cup first then top up to 110ml).
1x30g packet Milo 3-in-1.
pinch of Salt.
1 tablespoon melted Butter.
Pre-heat waffle iron.
Mix everything together with a whisk.
Pour in half the batter and add some dried cranberries.
Cook for 4-7 minutes depends on how crisp you want the waffle to be.
Served with jam, dried fruits and ice cream this time round – a very sweet treat for our birthday boy indeed…
Happy Birthday, Keef!
Happy waffling 🙂
