Kimchi Fried Rice 김치 볶음밥

Kimchi Fried Rice1

Kimchi Fried Rice (serves 2-3)
1 cup kimchi, drained and chopped (preferably the kind made with Nappa cabbage).
3 cloves Garlic, chopped, optional.
1 tablespoon Red Pepper Paste (Gochujang).
1 teaspoon Sesame Oil.
½ cup cooked Meat (Beef, spam, pork, bacon, or ham – minced or sliced), optional.
2-3 cups White Cooked Rice.
Salt or Light Soy Sauce, to taste.

1 Fried Egg for each serving, optional.
Seaweed Strips and Sesame Seeds, optional.

1. Heat kimchi and chopped garlic in a pan or wok and cook for about 3-5 minutes.

2. Add cooked meat, if using, and give it a quick stir.

3. Add rice and gochujang, stir well to fluff up the ingredients.

4. Season to taste with salt or light soy.

5. Turn off heat, add sesame oil and toss well.

5. Fry eggs and serve hot with seaweed and sesame seeds garnishings.

    Just put some white rice in a beautiful bowl and I will find the rice extra delicious…lol…

    Yea, I agree. I eat with my eyes first. Actually I eat with my nose first, then eyes… and finally the taste buds, haha…
